The overall mission of the Lancaster County Firemen’s Association (LCFA) is to support training and education for the Emergency Services Organizations (ESO) that are members of the LCFA. The Board of Directors of the LCFA is providing funding for entry level courses for member ESO’s beginning January 1, 2026, as outlined in this policy.
Terms & Conditions to Receive Benefits
- The LCFA will provide an application for funding to be completed by the ESO and the student.
- To receive funding for training the ESO must be a paid member organization in good standing by December 31 of each calendar year to receive funding for the succeeding year. In the first year of this program only, the LCFA will extend the membership applications and dues payment till January 31, 2026 to afford ESO’s the opportunity to be eligible for training funds. Funds are for successful completion of training/certification on or after January 1, 2026.
- LCFA will cover the costs of training held at or in conjunction with the Lancaster County Public Safety Training Center (LCPSTC) only, unless otherwise specified.
- LCFA will cover the training costs for only those students successfully completing the courses taken. Any students that are incomplete or unsuccessful will be responsible for costs incurred and due to LCPSTC.
- Eligible students must be at least 16 years of age; be a member of an LCFA member ESO. If the student is not already an Individual Member of the LCFA, they must become a member to receive training benefits. (New LCFA Individual Members must pay minimum dues for 2 years of membership.)
- This program does not provide funding for career/paid employees of an ESO.
- The LCFA reserves the right to amend this policy as necessary; to approve or reject any application.
