On November 29, 2024, the Lancaster County Firemen’s Association Board of Directors voted unanimously to move forward with a major renovation of the LCFA Headquarters, located at 630 E. Oregon Road in Lititz, PA. LCFA partnered with RLPS Architects of Lancaster, PA for architectural design and professional services, with Weaver Commercial overseeing the construction process.
Work officially began on June 1, 2024, and the LCFA offices were temporarily relocated to the former PA Fireman prepress offices to allow renovations to proceed. Just two days later, on June 3, construction crews broke ground, launching a transformation that would span eight months. The project reached completion on February 1, 2025.
To celebrate this significant milestone, LCFA hosted an open house on April 2, 2025, in conjunction with its quarterly business meeting. From 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., construction vendors, project partners, and community dignitaries toured the updated facility. Later in the evening, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., Lancaster County Emergency Service Organizations (ESOs) and LCFA members were welcomed for an opportunity to tour the newly renovated headquarters.
Among the distinguished guests were Pennsylvania State Fire Commissioner Tom Cook, Deputy State Fire Commissioner John “J.C.” Tedorski, and Fire Academy Administrator Harvey Boyer, all of whom explored the modernized headquarters.
The evening culminated in the LCFA quarterly meeting at 7:00 p.m., following the public tours.
This renovation—only the second since LCFA acquired the building in 1996—was carefully designed to enhance the facility’s function and ensure it meets the evolving needs of the organization and the broader emergency services community. With an eye toward the future, the updated headquarters reflects LCFA’s continued commitment to excellence in fire service support, education, and coordination across Lancaster County.
